Kent have named a 12 man squad to face Glamorgan in their LV= County Championship match at the St Lawrence Ground starting on Thursday.
It will be the first Championship game for Kent in well over a month having played Twenty 20 cricket throughout the majority of June and they go into the game unbeaten in the four day format.
This week’s game will see the return of West Indian batsman Brendan Nash to the side after he was on paternity leave for the past couple of weeks.
Meanwhile, Rob Key, Darren Stevens, Geraint Jones, James Tredwell and Mark Davies will return to the starting eleven after being rested for the game against South Africa at Canterbury last week.
Still unbeaten in the County Championship, Kent will be keen to get another win under their belts as they try and maintain their promotion push whilst keeping pace with leaders Derbyshire.
James Tredwell commented ahead of the match; “We are looking forward to getting back into it and I believe we can be successful in both championship and CB40 cricket. We didn’t do as well as we hoped in the t20 but a couple of wins, in this next batch of matches, will lift us up the CB40 table and we just need to keep picking up positive results in the championship to maintain our good start.”
Ben Kemp is expected to be named twelfth man as Kent go into the game with the side that has served them so well in recent County Championship matches.
